Bolt tightening torque calculation and tightening torque standard
Bolt tightening torque is an important basis for selecting bolt type and style. For standard bolts, if there is a fixed range of bolt tightening torque, the bolt can be selected according to this range.
Generally speaking, the tensile strength and shear strength of the screw are certain. In actual use, the tightening force should be calculated according to the specific connection stress, and then the appropriate specification of screw and bolt should be selected.
Calculation of bolt tightening torque
T=KFd
T: Torque for tightening nuts
K: Torque coefficient (approximately 0.2)
F: Preload
d: Major diameter of bolt
Remarks: it is recommended to determine the general connection with steel bolts according to the following relationship
Carbon steel: F < = (0.6 ~ 0.7) OS A1
Alloy steel: F < = (0.5 ~ 0.6) OS A1
OS: yield limit of bolt material
A1: dangerous section area of bolt
